Tabitha Jensen, Secretary

Tabitha Jensen cares about art.  And she brings a basketful of skills to the Board, as well as running and raising funds for a global art community.  She uses social media to help improve others’ technical art skills, well-being, networking and visibility, through feedback and encouragement.

Tabitha’s primary medium is watercolor painting, an art she took up after a tour in the U.S. Army and having two children. She loves how making art can improve mental and emotional health. In running a global art community supporting artists, she has had over 500 people send in original artworks for her monthly art challenge of artist trading cards (miniature hand drawn original art in business card size).  Each artist is sent back the same number of original cards from other participants, making all entrants into collectors and archivists of others’ works.  This support network has been ongoing since 2016. Tabitha is currently working on releasing the third book of her community’s artwork in addition to creating a line of products from her own artwork.

Tabitha’s artwork can also be seen in public places such as the SMUD utility box located on the southwest corner of Zinfandel and International Drive in Rancho Cordova, the Rancho Cordova Library on Folsom Blvd. , and at the Crocker Art Museum Gift Shop.
